Purpose
1. To develop latent fingerprints on smooth, non-porous, and non-magnetic surfaces. Suitable for multi-colored and horizontal surfaces.
2. Generally, fingerprints are a mixture of grease and sweat. For greasy prints, powders give better results; for sweat prints, superglue gives better results.
Description
When developing fingerprints on multi-colored surfaces (such as colorful pictures) with non-fluorescent powders, the multi-colored background causes severe interference when photographed. When developed with green fluorescent magnetic powder, fingerprints fluoresce green under violet light in a dark environment, so the interference caused by the multi-colored background can be greatly reduced when photographed.
Method
1. Use the magnetic powder applicator to pick up as much powder as possible and brush the latent fingerprint with the cluster of powder until the fingerprint is developed.
2. A powder blower can be used to remove redundant powder.
3. Illuminate the fingerprint with violet or blue light, observe the fingerprint through orange filter glasses, the fingerprints will appear green, and the background will appear dark.
